Adventure Is Out There | Personal Travel Favorites Tag

Yes, it’s time for another tag post on here! I did one a while ago and I felt like answering some question. This isn’t just any ordinary tag… No no, this is a tag about traveling! I went on the internet (just like any other day) and started looking for a tag about traveling and that’s when I found the Personal Travel Favorites tag created by Beauty Before Breakfast. Let’s take a look at all my answers to the questions of this tag!

Up until now, what was your favorite destination?

I guess everybody knows what I am going to answer to this question but I actually can’t choose. I love all the trips that I’ve been on but my two top favorites at the moment have to be New York and Barcelona. New York because I fell in love with this city when I was there two years ago. All the big buildings and so many people, I don’t know but the atmosphere is just amazing. And Barcelona because the trip was so much fun with my friends and it is such a beautiful and calming city.

What is your favorite hotel you’ve stayed in?

The first hotel that stuck in my mind is CitizenM hotel in Rotterdam. I stayed there one night with one of my friends and the hotel is so modern, I loved it a lot. But when I started thinking about all the trips I went on, Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York popped in to my mind. When I was in New York, we stayed at this hotel and let me tell you, it’s stunning. It has this rustic old but still modern feel, I don’t really know how to explain it. Overall it just was a lovely hotel.

What is your favorite place to shop?

I had to think about this for a bit but I think I have to go with Amsterdam. For me Amsterdam is only half an hour away and that’s why I like to go there to shop sometimes. It has some different stores than what I have in the area where I live, like the Urban Outfitters (which I love).

What is your favorite place to relax?

Definitely the beach. When I went to Albufeira after my graduation a couple of years ago, we had such a relaxed holiday. We were there for about eight days and all we did was lay by the pool, go shopping, walk along the beach and explore the city nearby our hotel. Most of the time I go on citytrips so this holiday was a big refresher.

What was the best meal you’ve ever eaten and where?

This is a tough question because everywhere I go I eat something that is really good. Some good meals I still remember eating on holiday are the hamburgers at our hotel in Albufeira. Since we would lay by the pool everyday, we would get lunch at our hotel. They had the most delicious hamburgers. So that’s what we ate for lunch every single day haha. Another meal I remember were the waffles I had while being in New York. One time we went out for breakfast and the waffles I got were so good (I am so sad because I can’t remember the name of the place). And last but not least, I also wanted to include a lunch I had in Scheveningen with my friends. I got a sandwich with lettuce and gamba’s. It was so good mmm.

What is your favorite travel friendly beauty product?

Rosebud Salve (a no brainer). I can’t leave the house without my Rosebud Salve. Even when I am at work, I keep it within reach. So when I travel, I have to have it in my bag on the plane so I can keep my lips and skin hydrated.

Do you have a favorite airplane outfit?

My airplane outfit is always kind of the same but I do keep in my mind what kind of weather I am going to be in once I’ve landed. First off, I want to be comfortable on the plane so most of the time I wear my favorite stretchy skinny jeans. I pair this with a very basic shirt and the  shoes that take up the most room in my suitcase. I do this so I have more room in my suitcase for other stuff. And lastly, I always make sure I have some type of sweater with me because it’s always freezing on airplanes.

Which places are on your travel bucket list?

My travel bucket list is extremely long because I actually want to travel all over the world but I will share the ones that are the top places and cities I would like to visit at the moment: London, Stockholm, San Francisco (LA in general), Chicago and Marrakesh.

I really liked answering the questions of this tag! It kind of gave my own spin to it and added the last question as an extra question because I felt it had to be in here. All of these questions made me realize that I’ve actually traveled a lot… And you’ll see some awesome posts about my trip to New York and Washington on here in the next couple of weeks. Oh btw, this is the first week where I will post two times a week (how exciting)! Anyways, did you already know this tag? Which places are on top of your travel bucket list?
