An Interior Is The Natural Projection Of The Soul | Interior Inspiration

It’s always good to have some interior inspiration, am I right! Since I’ve been working at the interior webshop as a content & marketing manager, I also have to keep up with the trends on interior bases. Pinterest is the perfect place for that. I just search for the latest interior trends and save all of the inspirational photos on different boards. Besides that, I also like to discover new interior stores in Amsterdam for example. In this post I want to share my favorite interior trends of the moment and what stores I recommend going to!

⋗ TRENDS & STYLES I LOVE ⋖

Every season of every year there are new interior trends. I think it’s kind of fun to follow them and to see what I like and don’t like. Most of the time I just like to see the different trends and see if it inspires me to change something in my room. First, I’ve been loving to incorporate the bohemian and Moroccan vibes into an interior. Hints of color, big carpets, ‘sun’ mirrors and plants. Especially the ‘sun’ shaped mirrors I like. It brings the summer into your interior with just a mirror. And plants… Do I even have to explain?

Second, neutral and earthy colors, like white, beige, grey, blue and green toned colors. This trend is very much for me because I love minimalistic and pastel colors like this. Right now my room is painted this grey color and I want to paint my pink walls white. This will brighten up my room a little and make it easier to pair with other colors, like muted blues and greens.

Lastly, you might have been seeing brick walls everywhere. This is part of the industrial and vintage look, that has been on-trend for awhile now. Adding industrial type items to your interior can give it this egde. Since my interior is very much clean and minimalistic, it’s always fun to add an industrial looking accessoire to my room. I would actually like a brick wall in my room, but you can’t have everything haha.

⋗ FAVORITE HOMESTORES ⋖

Raw Materials. This summer I found Raw Materials in Amsterdam. This home store has some very unique home pieces, for example, old suitcases, fuzzy carpets and antique mirrors. Whenever I get my own house, I definitely want to go here and find unique pieces to put in my home (btw the first part of the photos are actually all taken at Raw Materials).

Sissy-Boy. Sissy-Boy doesn’t only sell interior pieces but also clothes. But since I always like their interior stuff, their stores always give me tons of interior inspiration. I can walk around for ages, love everything and dream about it all being mine. Everything they have is very on trend and minimalistic, which I love.

Søstrene Grene. When I am looking for a couple low budget things to put in my interior, I always go to Søstrene Grene. They have everything from chairs, side tables to small boxes and prints to put on your wall. Their collection changes very regularly so that makes it easy to always find something I like.

I have to be honest, seeing all of these photos again gave me definitely some ideas of what I want to change or add to my room. Like I already said, having a brick wall in my room would be amazing haha. Anways, I would really recommend checking out Raw Materials in Amsterdam because their store is so big and has different pieces for different interior styles. What are your favorite interior trends right now? Where do you go to buy new interior pieces?

Love,

Neeltje

Zo leuk!
