Attending A Bloggers Lunch & Re-Opening | Event: Collectiv. Concept Store, The Hague

One thing you might know about me is that I love to discover hotspots, especially concept stores. A concept store I really like is Collectiv. Concept Store in The Hague. On December 10th they actually had a re-opening of their store and I got invited to attend the re-opening festivities and a bloggers lunch. Since Eline is always up to do blogger things with me, like discover hotspots and take photos, I decided to invite her as well. In this blog post I will show you what the store now looks like, what kind of brands they sell, what kind of things we were able to do at the re-opening and the goodies we got at the end of the event ✩

At a store like Collectiv. you are able to shop items from lots of different brands. That’s kind of the point of a concept store, right? But every concept store is different. Collectiv. is located at such a big location, which means you can wander around for quite some time. Some of my favorite brands they sell at Collectiv. are Gekkiggeit, My Treasure Hunts, Stockhome and Cotton Candies. You might have heard of some of them before because I definitely talked about my earrings from My Treasure Hunts on here. Gekkiggeit is such a fun brand because they sell tiles with weird Dutch quotes on them. Anyway, this is just a small selection of the brands they have at Collectiv. so you’ll definitely find something you like. In the photos above and below you can get a little impression of what the store looks like now.

An opening of a store (or re-opening in this case) should always be celebrated and Collectiv. definitely did this. A couple of weeks before the re-opening, I saw a message on Facebook that they also wanted to celebrate it with bloggers. I had never really been to a blogger event before but Collectiv. Concept Store is one of my favorite places to go, so I thought I would attend this.

I actually invited Eline to come with me because she is always up to go and explore cities with me and discover new hotspots. Collectiv. is one of the spots we visited a little over a year ago and we both loved it. Fortunately they still had two spots left to attend the blogger lunch so I was able to go with Eline.

When we got to Collectiv. Concept Store on December 10th, we saw what a different look the store got. We had to go to the back of Collectiv. because that is where they set up a table just for the bloggers. I thought it was really interesting to get to know the other bloggers. Everyone wrote about something else on their blog and it was fun to hear about that.

As we sat down at the table, we were able to order a drink (of course I got a green tea) and we got some information about Budapest Bagel, the company that would make us lunch. Budapest Bagel was originally started in Budapest, like the name says. They completely make their bagels themselves and use local products for the ingredients. Unfortunately Eline and I had to leave the blogger lunch early because of other things we had planned on that day. Luckily they were so kind enough to let us take the bagels on to go. This way we could still enjoy a lovely from Budapest Bagel (and btw, I am definitely trying another bagel from them because the caprese bagel was so good).

While we were waiting for our bagels to be done, we took a wander around the new Collectiv. Concept Store. Just besides the table we would have lunch at, was this place where people can park their bicycles. In the centre of The Hague it is pretty hard to find a spot to put your bicycle and now you could park your bicycle there and enter Collectiv. right after that. If I would live in The Hague, this would definitely be the place where I would leave my bicycle and immediately look at the new items in Collectiv. Concept Store. The best of both worlds, right?

Of course at a re-opening it’s all about the celebration. So they had a DJ that was spinning some lovely tunes, they decorated the place with lots of balloons and there was also a photo booth. Photo booths are a must at every party because it’s so much fun to play around with the props and put on silly faces. Underneath you can see the photos we took and they are funny haha.

Besides the delicious lunch, we also got such a big goodie bag. In the photo above you can see the content of it and yes, it is a lot. I am so grateful that I got so many things from all of these different brands. I really like to read all the cards from the brands and use their items or products. This is a fun way to discover new brands and things you’ll like. Eline and I enjoyed the re-opening a lot so a big thank you to Collectiv. Concept Store for having us. If you want to visit Collectiv. Concept Store yourself (which I would definitely recommend), you can find it at Prinsestraat 5A in The Hague (it’s in the centre of the city). Did you like this type of blog post? What is your favorite concept store?

Love,

Neeltje

Wonderful! It reminds me a bit off trendy restaurants were they sell everything you see. From the chair your sitting on, to the spoon you eat whit. And the art on the wall.

It looks like such an amazing experience that you were apart of. I don’t think I have ever visited a concept store but this one looks really nice and love the aesthetics of it. And there is nothing wrong with a little blogger’s lunch here and there either 😉
