Bringing Out The Christmas Decorations Again | Interior Inspiration

My latest blog post was all about Christmas gifts inspiration. In that post I also talked about me decorating my room for Christmas and buying all sorts of new decorations. On Pinterest I had found so many inspirational photos, that I made my “Christmas Spirit” board. Yes, I may go a little Christmas crazy but if you watch Zoella’s videos, you can see I am not the only one… Anyways, in this blog post I show you all the different (inexpensive) decorations I have put in my room ?

When it comes to decorating for a holiday like Christmas, fairy lights are a must in every interior. I own different kind of fairy lights and this year I’ve put up my cotton ball and star fairy lights. The cotton ball lights are displayed on top of my cabinets and I’ve put the star fairy lights around my mirror. When it gets darker, I put the fairy light on and it gives my room an immediate Christmas feeling.

You can never go wrong with a marble plate. For summer I put a couple of glasses with small flowers on top of the marble plate and for Christmas I wanted to do it a little different. I used some silver star confetti to dress up the things I put on the marble plate. With confetti it can get a little messy so I didn’t use too much and it still looks very festive.

Since most of my Christmas decorations are white and silver, I wanted to spice it up with some other colors as well. On Pinterest I saved lots of photos of presents wrapped in this brown paper with a ribbon around it and a piece of greenery. That’s why I wrapped two notebooks like this and put them on my cabinets as a decoration. With that, I also put a glittered candle underneath my stolp with some of the greenery as well. How cute does this look?

Of course I can not forget about my very beloved lightbox. Whenever seasons change or a holiday is coming up, I put a different quote or saying in the lightbox. In the photos you can see that I put “Jingle bells rock” in it for now. When I read this in the morning, I immediately think of the scene in Mean Girls (anyone else?). And then I also got another lamp than this lightbox. When my mom and I were at Ikea, they had lots of Christmas things out as well. I saw this star lamp and I really liked it for some reason. Besides my bed, I had a print up on the wall but I changed that to this lamp. This isn’t only a lovely lamp for holidays like Christmas but just all year around.

Lastly, my Christmas decor won’t be complete without an advent calendar, right? Well, in October I already ordered a Sacconejolys advent calendar because I love their videos so much. Up until now I’ve been loving to get a little chocolate every single day. I have to be honest, it is very tempting to just open every door and eat all the chocolate but I won’t do that. Are you also excited for Christmas? What does your Christmas decor look like?
