Creativity Never Goes Out Of Style | Scrapbook DIY

When I think of making a scrapbook, the thing I immediately think of is the ‘Burn Book’ from Mean Girls (do you remember this as well?). I have no idea why because it’s not like that book but I just get this image in my head that looks like that book. Well, a couple of weeks ago I went to Barcelona (as you could tell from a lot of Barcelona posts) and I really wanted to keep the metro and other kinds of tickets from there and do something with them. So I decided to make a scrapbook. Not only for those things but also for some inspiration. So when I want to write a blog post but I don’t have inspiration, I just grab my scrapbook and look through it. Are you curious to see what I have so far?

But before I could start creating my scrapbook, I had to have a book where I could put everything in. And this actually took a pretty long time but I found the perfect one. On the cover it says: Tomorrow makes me curious. And this is perfect because I am curious what tomorrow is going to bring and it will appear in my scrapbook afterwards.

To make the pages in my scrapbook a little bit more fun I printed some photos, quotes and other inspirational stuff I found on Weheartit (follow me if you want to see all the things that inspire me). I also got some washi tape (love it), labels, stamps, stickers and other decorative stuff you can think of.

Right now my scrapbook is mainly based around wanderlust. This year I already traveled twice and I want to keep the memories I made there in a different way than I normally do. So the first page in my scrapbook starts with a label with my name on it (of course) and a photo I took on the airplane.

In January of this year I got my first invitation to stay at a new hotel in Rotterdam called CitizenM. I also wrote a blog post about my stay but I also got some goodies there, which I could keep to put in my scrapbook. Such as the ticket from The International Film Festival, the room key and some other things. So I printed some photos I took there and made my first couple of pages. The next page is one with some of my favorite photos I took in Paris when I was there with my internship.

The next pages, which you can see above, have to be my favorites until now. These are kind of inspirational pages but they also contain some photos I took when I was in Amsterdam, Paris and Rotterdam. I actually really like how this turned out because of the quote and also the washi tape pieces and the jar of money. As you might now, I love saving money and saving money like that in a jar is my favorite way because you can actually see it filling up.

And last but definitely not least some pages for all the stuff I kept from Barcelona. Before I went to Barcelona I already had the idea to create a scrapbook so that’s why I kept a lot of stuff from when I was there haha. So I made one page for every day we were there and also one with some photos I took in the stores we went shopping. I am already so excited to put my things in there from my trip to New York and Washington in the summer! Do you also have a scrapbook? What is your favorite page out of my scrapbook so far?

I’ve always wanted to start one (I have piles of photos, tickets etc. from past trips still lying around), but I sadly never get around to it 🙁 . Your scrapbook looks great, I especially like the drawings and handwritten text you’ve added!
