Some time ago I posted a blog completely dedicated to my jewelry. Since then I’ve be wanting to do another post like that but I just didn’t know what about. Lately there have been some things I’ve been loving and one of those are enamel pins. Over the past months I’ve collected a lot of pins and I thought it would be perfect to share more about pins, how to style them and where I get mine from! 🌟
✧ WHAT ARE ENAMEL PINS? ✧
Just at the beginning of this year I discovered enamel pins again. Again? Yes, again because when I was little I used to have enamel pins! Enamel pins might remind you of buttons but you’ve got pins in so many different shapes. Of course there has to be a reason why I like enamel pins so much. Well, I have a couple. It can dress any outfit up when you add some pins to it. Besides that, there are so many different ones you can find nowadays, which makes it so much fun to look for new ones (it’s kind of addicting haha).
✧ MY FAVORITE PINS ✧
You might have already seen my spring essentials post where I talk about enamel pins. Since then I’ve definitely created some kind of collection featuring lots of different pins. Within all of these pins, I definitely have a couple of favorite pins at the moment. The first ones are the camera and passport pin. I love photography and traveling so these pins literally describe me. The second one is this pink backpack. When I found this one on Etsy, I just found it so cute and had to get it. The last and third one is my unicorn pin. I actually won a pin giveaway from Hello Miss May on Instagram and this is just one of the many pins I got.
✧ HOW I STYLE THEM ✧
Like I said before, the reason why I like pins so much is because you can really dress up any outfit. Most of the time I start with looking at the outfit I’ve picked and what colors would look good with it. Based on that I select two or three pins that would look nice with my outfit. After that I only have to think about where I want to put the pins. The fun thing with pins is, you don’t always have to wear them on your sweater. You can also put some on your denim jacket and even a canvas bag!
✧ WHERE I GET MY PINS FROM ✧
Right now so many different companies are selling enamel pins. Not all of my pins are from the same company or brand. That’s why it’s understandable I’ve got a couple of favorite webshops where I buy my pins. At the moment my favorite webshops to get my enamel pins from are…
… Beads by Lotte. On of my friends, which I’ve mentioned on my blog so many time, has her own webshop. She sells so many different kind of bracelets and all of them are handmade. Recently she has also been selling the cutest pins, like the leaf one. 🌿 Fun fact: I actually helped her pick some of them so I sure you’ll like them as well.
… Meghan McNulty. When I was at The Original Market at the beginning of this year, I actually found the Meghan McNulty stand. That’s when I got the peach pin and when I got home, I had a look at her Etsy shop filled with stationery items and many more pins.
… Lenses and Locals. The last pins I bought are actually the camera and passport one from Lenses and Locals. These pins came all the way from Australia and are such good quality. In their Etsy shop you can find even more of these pretty pins.
… The Sassy Girl. I can’t really remember where I found The Sassy Girl but I really like the style of everything in their webshop. The pastel colors and drip effect of the “Dope” pin make it look kind of old school. You should definitely also look at all of the other girl power items. And when I ordered something, I actually also got some stickers, cards and a button with it. How generous!
And that’s already the end of this inspirational blog post filled with enamel pins. I am already looking for new things I could use for these type of blog posts. They are so fun to write, especially when it’s about something I am passionate about or am loving at the moment. Let me know what you would like to see on here! Do you own any enamel pins? How do/would you style them?
