Find Joy In All Seasons | Fall Through My Lens

Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons. I love the colors, layering clothes and cozy afternoons. This fall I did some fun things and took lots of photos. I wanted to close off fall time before December starts. When December comes around, it’s all about Christmas and my birthday (bye bye teenage years, hello twenties)! But that’s still some time away. That’s why today I wanted to share all the things I did and photos I took during fall (with some fun emojis included)!

Having some quality time with my mom every now and then is always good. Since I had been busy with school and my mom with work, we wanted to go out of the house, have lunch and catch up. We went to Meelfabriek Zijlstroom. They changed the place a couple of months ago and I love how it looks right now. It looks kind of industrial, which I love. Oh and of course the food is really good!

Some time ago I went to Sissy-Boy Daily to have some lunch with Eline. ? We had so much to talk about so we decided to go shopping a little and get a cupcake from Cupcakechic. I hadn’t been there in such a long time. When we entered, the first thing we saw were these minion and cookie monster cupcakes. How could we not get any? The minion looks so cute! They were both vanilla flavored, which is my favorite cupcake flavor mmm.

Almost everyday you can find me in The Hague since I go to school there. Unfortunately I don’t go to the actual city to shop or anything like that very often. But when I do, I love to walk and wander around. After a presentation at school my friends and I decided to go to The Hague and that’s when we discovered this new store. It’s called Søstrene Grene and they have the cutest DIY stuff, interior pieces and more! Above you can see what I bought and I am definitely going back there since they have so many cute things!

At the beginning of October Elba and I went to Amsterdam to go to NSMBL Festival. Before we went to the festival, we walked through the city and had some lunch. First we walked through the Kalverstraat and went in to some stores, like Urban Outfitters and Nike. I had never been to the Nike store before but it was really big (not as big as the one in Washington haha). After walking for a bit we sat down at De Brabantse Aap. I go there almost every time I am in Amsterdam and I also got the same thing as I always do haha.

Of course I spent some time in Leiden as well. Leiden looks so beautiful during fall. Eline and I had some great ideas for DIY’s and for one of them we had to get some fabrics (a little hint for what’s coming). When we were cycling to Leiden, I just had to stop and take a photo of this old car with the pretty houses in the background. After strolling around the market for a long time, we had to warm up at Van de Leur Leiden since it was so cold. I got a fresh mint tea with some honey and a little cheesecake. ☕️

Besides being in Leiden to buy some DIY stuff, I also shot some photos for an outfit post! I have been wanting to take photos with a fall feeling for a really long time. ? Now I got the opportunity and Lotte shot some really nice photos. I think these photos are my favorite outfit photos out of all my outfit posts.

It seems like I did lots of fun things during fall but I also had exams and lots of school work to do. Some days nothing came out and I felt really unproductive. Do you have that sometimes? That’s when my parents and I decided to go to Haarlem for the day. I really like Haarlem but I’ve only been there a couple of times. It’s a really beautiful city with lots of nice stores and cafes. Some are on my list to take photos and write something about it on la blog (if you have suggestions, let me know!).

At the end of October it was trick or treat time! ? We don’t really celebrate halloween in The Netherlands, which I think is a pity. I would love to go a halloween party, dress up crazy with my friends, make some halloween snacks and carve pumpkins. This is something I want to try to do next year and share it with you on here!

This is already the end of this new type of blog post! I think I am going to be posting one of these at the end of every season because I really liked creating this one. Let me know what you think btw! The next couple of weeks are all about gifts, birthdays, baking and more (these are some hints for upcoming blog posts, so get excited!). What is your favorite thing to do during fall? Are you also excited about Christmas?

What’s funny is that here in Arizona we really only have two seasons. Hot and a bit chilly, but we don’t have leaves turning colors & no snow so we definitely miss out on the seasons. I don’t know if I hate it, but sometimes when I see people’s photos in snow and leaves and spring, it makes me sad to NOT see nature changing! Lovely post by the way! xx,
