From Faux Fur To A Shacket & Wrap Coat | Winter Coats

Keeping warm in winter is key. I have gone from a bag obsession to a coat obsession. This season brands have dropped some amazing coats. I keep seeing winter coats I want to add to my collection but I have to keep myself in check otherwise my closet will be overflowing in two seconds. I am currently living in my faux fur coat, shacket and wrap coat!

Faux Fur

Recently I walked into Zara and after wandering around a little bit, I spotted this faux fur coat. It’s not something I would typically go for but it looked super comfy and soft. So, just for fun, I decided to try it on and it fit like a glove. I look like a little bear when I am wearing it and it makes every outfit look a bit more special. The fact that it isn’t plain black or white, is what I like about it. The brown is the perfect fit for fall and winter.

Shacket

Very trendy at the moment and also really cute: the shacket. A shacket is a combination of a shirt and a jacket. When you put the two together, you get a shacket! At first I wasn’t very crazy about this trend, but when styled right, a shacket is actually a great addition to my collection. This H&M one isn’t lined, so it’s not the best choice for a cold winter day. Luckily I am able to wear a thick sweater underneath and with a scarf on top, I could wear it on warmer winter days.

Wrap Coat

A true investment. That’s what this coat was for me. I had been wanting a long wrap coat since last year and I hadn’t found one I absolutely loved. Until I saw this one from H&M. It’s a bit more structured, which looks best on me, and has a rich dark blue color. You can really feel it’s from their premium collection and I know this coat will get me through many winters. The belt gives me the option to leave it open and also close if it’s colder. Besides that, I love the look of the belt when it’s hanging loosely at the back of the coat. I think a camel version of this coat would be perfect, so that’s something I’ve put on my coat wish list for later…

These three coats are the ones I gravitate most towards these (colder) days. I can’t wait to shoot an outfit of the day with my long wool coat from H&M! The color is so beautiful and every time I wear it, I love it even more. The fact that my legs are stay a lot warmer with a longer coat is such a big plus. I have a couple of other coats on my mind… but I think I have enough for now. What’s your favorite winter coat? Do you have a color preference: beige, black or blue?
