The period between fall and summer. You don’t know what to wear. Some days it’s warm, other days it’s cold. That calls for a fall to summer transitional outfit. As I am standing in front of my closet, I don’t know what to grab. A sweater might just be too warm and a t-shirt too cold. So, let’s grab a staple: a blazer! And I based the outfit around this blazer. Simple and makes a perfect transitional outfit.
Black Blazer: ONLY | Dark Blue T-shirt: Benetton
Blazers are such a staple in every single wardrobe. On days when I don’t know what to wear, I grab a pair of jeans, a plain t-shirt and put a blazer on top. Such an easy way to create a put together look in just a minute. A blazer just gives your look something extra. Right now I own a beige, dark blue, velvet and blazer blazer. With this outfit I decided to go for the blazer one since it goes with everything so well.
Black in combination with blue? Years ago I would have screamed no thanks. But now, I love it! Both colors are dark but still there’s a little twist because of actually has color. Dark blue is such a stunning and sophisticated color, which is why I love it so much. This dark blue short sleeved shirt I got from Benetton has the best fit. The sleeves are a little longer, the neckline isn’t that high and it’s made from 100% cotton. That’s what we like to see.
Light Denim Jeans: Levi’s | White Sneakers: Adidas
Since the top part of my outfit was pretty dark, I had a look at my closet and went for these very light denim jeans from Levi’s. These are just a little different than my other Levi’s jeans because the bottom is fringed. The color of this pair also wasn’t my cup of tea at first, but in combination with dark clothing items, I actually really like it.
To stay in the ‘lighter theme’, I am wearing my go to white sneakers from Adidas. These are so comfortable, especially when walking around the city all day. White sneakers are my favorite to wear all year around. As soon as it gets colder, I alternate between white sneakers and ankle booties.
Brown Bag: Le Parmentier Paris | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Of course my look isn’t complete without a bag. This isn’t just ‘some’ bag. This is one of the latest bags I’ve added to my collection: the Yucca from Le Parmentier Paris. I wasn’t familiar with this brand until I found this bag. It’s a really contemporary brand and their bags are beautifully made. The design of this bag is what caught my eye. It’s classic but still different. When I wore it one of the first times, someone got up to me and complimented me on my bag. I love that! And lastly, there are my new Ray-Ban sunglasses. If you know me, then you know I wear sunglasses almost every single day because I hate bright skies. These are the perfect everyday sunglasses, so definitely a good buy for me.
And that’s all for what I am wearing! At first I wasn’t sure if I would like this outfit. Looking back at the photos I want to wear this outfit more often. As I would say, this makes a perfect transitional summer to fall outfit. And now I am ready to wear fuzzy jackets, thick sweaters and booties again. Bring on fall fashion! What’s your favorite traditional outfit to wear right now? Do you like how I styled mine?
