Calling all my beach lovers out there: hey! If there’s something to get into that summer feeling, it’s taking a trip to the beach. Where I live, I have tons of options of going to the beach and visiting beach clubs, like Tulum Tulum and Branding Beach Club, and I am very glad about that. So, when I had a day off and it was going to be the perfect summer weather, of course I had to go to the beach and photograph what I was wearing.
Dotted Blouse: MANGO | Black Top: America Today
I’ve always been a striped tee kind of girl. When you don’t know what to wear, always opt for a striped tee. But when summer weather started coming around, I actually started liking different types of clothing items with dots. One of those items is this blouse from MANGO. When I knew I would be going to the beach, I thought this top would be perfect. On the beach you just want to wear something light weight and that’s this blouse for sure. I like the fact that it wraps in the front and it’s a bit shorter. This is what makes it perfect with high waisted jeans.
Since the blouse is a little low cut, I put this lace black top underneath. If I would go to to the beach to tan with my bikini on, I wouldn’t wear this top and just wear my bikini under it, so it’s more like a beach cover-up.
Blue Jeans: Levi’s | Sandals: TOMS
When you think of the beach, you think of bikinis and shorts. That’s not what I am wearing at all. Why? Since we left early in the morning to go to the beach, it was still very chilly. Besides that, these light blue jeans from Levi’s are actually not that thick and because of their light color, they don’t hold onto warmth. Last but not least, my skin is very sensitive and I don’t want to get a sunburn. It’s so important to protect yourself from the sun, so before getting to the beach, I used my favorite sunscreen SPF 50 on my body and face. I also wanted to stay covered up as much as possible but still be comfortable and feel good.
Shoes and the beach… not the best combination. But let me tell you, sand can be so warm and it can feel like your feet are burning or step onto a sharp sea shell. So I would suggest wearing some type of shoe on the beach. I opted for these sandals, which I can easily throw on and kick off whenever I need to.
At the beach, you don’t need that many accessories. One thing I love to bring to the beach is not a regular bag but just a plain canvas bag. With a bag like that you can fit so much and it doesn’t really matter if there’s sand in it. After you just shake the bag out or put it in the washing machine. So, that’s kind of it for this outfit post! I loved taking these photos with Claudia because we were playing around with different places around the beach clubs and shadows in the sand. Please tell me I am not the only one that loves beach photos. ☼ What’s your favorite beach outfit? And what’s a must for a beach outfit for you?
Love,
Neeltje
