Sometimes it is okay to go a little crazy when it comes to shopping and no, sometimes is not all the time because saving money is also important. But the past two months I did buy a lot more stuff than I usually do and I have two reasons for it. #1 I had to have some new summer clothing items for my trip to Barcelona. #2 I just felt like shopping and spending some money. These are valid reasons, right (haha)? Anyways, I just wanted to share some of the items (not all of them, just ones that I am very very happy about) so I hope you like my latest purchases as much as I do.
Jewelry Box: Xenos € 7,99 | Heart bracelet: Names4ever € 29,95
I don’t know if it’s just me but most of the time I find the best things when I am actually not looking for it. So a couple of weeks ago I went shopping with my mom on my day off from school and I saw some really nice interior pieces. But since I already have a lot (and didn’t need anything new), I only got a glass jewelry box I found. This is something I saw a couple of times online but never found in a store. So when I saw it, I just had to have it.
And in a jewelry box like this, you have to display your most beautiful jewelry. So of course my two watches are in there but also my new personalized bracelet! I got to choose an item from Names4ever and I chose this beautiful white howlite bracelet (which looks like marble!). On their website you can personalize jewelry (in my case a bracelet but they also have necklaces and more) by adding a name or even multiple names. I didn’t want to put on my name so I decided to put Thoughts in Style on it. So now I have my own blog bracelet!
When I was little I used to go to this lady where I had to chose a quartz stone which told her something about how I was feeling at the time and what I needed. So when I got this rose quartz necklace my mom said: “You chose the stone, which suits you the best.” So I guess the rose quartz suits me well at the moment because I chose this over all the other ones (and there were a lot).
If there’s something I’ve been buying a lot more over the past years, it has to be coffee table books. If you don’t know what a coffee table book is, I will tell you. For me coffee table books are pretty books that you display on a table or shelve where you can see it. And one of my new additions to the family is The Little Fashion Dictionary by Christian Dior (I think I’ll make a blog post featuring my favorite coffee table books)!
Mason jars, who doesn’t know them? I’ve wanted one for a while now because I always keep a glass of water near my bed. So when I get thirsty, I have some water nearby me. And what better way than to have this in a nice mug or Mason jar? There is no better way so yeah.
Now it’s time for a warning because the rest of my latest purchases are all clothes haha. I’ll start off with the items I got before I went to Barcelona and the first item is one I bought second hand! That’s something I never do but I saw this flower patterned bomber jacket and I really liked it so I thought: “Why not?” And then I got it (end of this exciting story). And I really like to pair that bomber jacket with this shirt that kind of speaks for itself. If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know that I love plants! So when I saw this cactus shirt on Disfordazzle her Instagram and I immediately went online and bought it. Unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time so I could bring it to Barcelona, which was sad… But since I got back, I already wore it a lot so it’s okay (haha).

The first two items are the ones I got in Barcelona (and I talked about in one of my latest blog post) from this clothing store called Double Agent. I got a thin grey sweater and I am in love with it but I also got a marsala top which is great for the summer time!
In Barcelona we also went to the Brandy Melville store. We also have a Brandy Melville in Amsterdam but I don’t go there very often. So when we saw one in Barcelona we just had to go in and see if they had some different items and they did! It was such a spacious store which made it fun to shop in it (in Amsterdam it isn’t, especially on weekends it’s a hell). In the end I ended up buying two pretty boring items but I love them a lot. First off I grabbed this striped shirt… I know I know, I shouldn’t buy anymore striped shirts but this one is different from the ones I already own so it’s okay. And I also found a wide black top which is really comfy so I couldn’t resist buying it haha.
Striped Top: Brandy Melville € 18,00
Pff, as you can see I did buy quite a lot in the past month… And this isn’t all because I also got some new books (here’s one of them) which I am so excited about. This year I set a goal for myself to read more books and I think these will definitely help me with reaching this goal. Btw don’t forget to enter my blog birthday giveaway! It ends Friday May 8 so enter now! Anyways, what is your latest purchase? And what is your favorite item of the things I bought?
