Sunday, the last day of the week and I think this has to be my favorite day out of the week. I think it’s because it just feels like the most relaxed day. Since I haven’t been working every Sunday, I can finally spend my day however I want. I love to be lazy and just spend a day in bed, but I also want to be productive. That’s why I’ve made a list of five things I do on a Sunday to still enjoy this lazy day but also be productive!
#1 || Make yourself the perfect breakfast
The best way to start any Sunday is by waking up and making yourself something you feel like having. I’ve posted a recipe for the perfect American pancakes before and it’s definitely worth trying on a Sunday. Add some of your favorite fruits, other toppings and a warm cup of tea (or coffee). That’s what I call a perfect Sunday breakfast. Psst, put everything on a tray, take it to your room and enjoy it in bed while listening to some music or watching Netflix.
#2 || Make your bed
When you get out of bed on a Sunday, I know it can be hard to actually make your bed. I never used to make my bed but since I started doing it, it has become an automatic thing. ☁️ It feels satisfying when you enter you bedroom after a long day and see a fully made bed. Besides that, nothing is better than the smell and feeling of fresh sheets, am I right?

#3 || Clean & tidy your room
I mostly clean and tidy my bedroom at the end of the week. Is it just me or does a room get so messy during the week even if you aren’t home as much? There are clothes everything, bags all over the place and random papers on my desk. I don’t know how this happens but since it does, I do need to clean it up. A messy room equals to a messy mind and we don’t want that on a lazy Sunday. Put on a playlist, jam to your favorite songs and clean in the mean time.
My favorite playlists: All About 00’s || Easy On Sunday || Best Of NL
#4 || Plan out the next week
Since I am a real planner, I like making to do lists and planning things out. It gives me peace to have a list and that I know what I will be doing or have to do during the next week. Sunday is the perfect day to do that, since it marks the last day of the weekend. For this I mainly use my Wunderlist app, but also a notebook or cute planner, like the one I used in this post. Making a to do list or planning things out for the next week will definitely bring your mind at ease and enjoy the rest of your day.
#5 || Do something you love
Sundays are for having fun, friends, family and relaxing of course. If you feel like going outside, you can meet up with friends or family, go to the beach, walk around in the woods, spend the day on a terrace in the sun or just go to the city. But if you feel like staying inside and nog being very social, you can also read a book, create something (like one of my DIY’s), listen to music or have a Netflix day. 🍿
My Netflix recommendations: Atypical | To All The Boys I’ve Loves Before | Friends | The Kissing Booth
Well, now it’s time to have a lazy and productive Sunday! I am actually writing this post on a Sunday so in a little bit I will start playing my favorite playlist, jamming to some of the songs and work some more on my blog. That kind of sums up my perfect Sunday. What would your perfect Sunday consist of? Are you all about having a lazy but productive Sunday as well?
