When Lotte and I were in Paris (which you can all read about in my Paris travel diary), we also went to Les Deux Plateaux. So many girls on Instagram take the most stunning photos here and I was very fascinated with this art work made by Daniel Buren. Les Deux Plateaux is located in the courtyard of Palais-Royal in the centre of Paris. The black and white striped poles differ in height, which makes it very interesting to play around with when you’re taking photos. That’s why it was the perfect place to take photos of this art work and also my black and white (coordinated) outfit!
Zebra Printed Shirt: Esprit | Loose Black Shorts: Vero Moda
As the title of the post already says, this outfit is all about that black & white. If I start in front of my closet and are looking for something to wear, I mostly go for a white shirt and a pair of black pants. Since I don’t want to be that boring all the time, I actually got this white shirt with small zebra’s on it. I think it’s quiet funky because it’s different than a ‘normal’ white tee or a striped shirt, like I always wear (even though it’s still striped, sort of haha).
When it’s hot outside, there’s nothing more irritating than wearing tight fitting clothing items. That’s why, when I wear a pair of shorts, I go for loose fitting shorts. It’s hard to fit a pair that’s actually flattering because it really depends on how it looks with your body type. Before I left for Paris, I found two pairs that were just the best. In this look I am wearing the black pair of shorts.
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Black Crossbody Bag: Tommy Hilfiger
Since this day in Paris it was very sunny, of course I was wearing my beloved Erika Ray-Ban sunglasses. I got these a couple of years ago and I just can’t go without them. They go with everything and I also think the shape of the sunglasses looks good on seriously everyone. And yes, you already guessed it (and maybe saw it) but I am also wearing my Tommy Hilfiger black crossbody bag, like I always do. In my latest Paris outfit post I already explained why it is the perfect bag for me and that’s why I always take it with it.
White Sneakers: Adidas
On holiday you want to be as comfortable as ever. That’s why I always bring two pairs of shoes that fit me the best and I can walk on for hours. This year that pair of sneakers are definitely these ones from Adidas. I actually designed them myself, because you can do that at Adidas, and made them completely how I wanted them. At first when I got them, I was expecting them to be a little darker grey. But I love that they are a little lighter color of suede!
And that’s all for this very simple outfit. I just love to wear simple casual looks whenever I am on holiday during summer, especially at this black & white location in Paris. What’s your favorite black or white clothing item? Do you wear a lot of color?
