“Oh babe, you’re my favorite.” Yes, that’s what I can say about all of the things I mention in this blog post. Sharing my favorite things is something I have been doing on here from the start. It has to be one of my favorite things to write about because who doesn’t love to talk about something they have been loving or obsessing about? This Loves Lately post consists of a hair oil I fell in love with, a book I read in less than two days, a pair of heels I got, a podcasts and more. ♡ E N J O Y ♡
Hair Oil: Gisou
I always thought a hair oil was a waist of money. Why would you make your hair oily? I just didn’t get it. Until I was looking at some reviews of the Gisou hair oil and I was so interested to see what it would do for my hair. My hair was so dry and I didn’t know how to fix it. Since I got my Gisou hair oil, I’ve been using it every time I get out of the shower and my hair looks so much healthier! So many people have already commented on it and the smell of the oil is amazing!
Jamie Li is one of my favorite vloggers and when she brought out her book, Sexy but tired. but sexy., of course I had to get it. I read the whole thing in less than two days. Jamie Li is just so funny and I had to keep reading. She discusses some very relatable and ‘real’ subjects in her book, which makes the book a ‘quick read’.

When I came back from Berlin, my mom and I had the spontaneous idea of getting our ears pierced. I had been thinking about getting a third earring piercing for a long time and we went to the jewelers and got it. I only got a the third earring in my right ear. Now I can even more cute earrings parties and combine different type of earrings! Besides that, I also got a new necklace. Last year I got a necklace from my grandma for my birthday and I wanted another one I could wear with that. This necklace has a star on the side of it, which makes it very minimalistic but also easy to wear with other necklaces.
Since I got a new job, I wanted to treat myself. Because it’s always a good time to get yourself something, am I right! Well, I have always been a big fan of Shabbies Amsterdam shoes (I own a couple of boots), but when I saw they also have heels, I fell in love with this beige pair of heels. They are very simple and look good with any type of outfit, casual or chic.

If you didn’t know, podcasts are amazing. And a podcast in combination with one of my favorite YouTubers is even better. I believe I’ve mentioned a podcast before, but Katy Bellotte started her podcast ‘Thick & Thin’ when she moved to New York. One of my dreams has always been to live in New York and since Katy is living the dream and talks all about it in her podcast, of course I have been listening to it. Sometimes on the go, other times when I am working on my blog.
A lot of my inspiration for photos and blog posts I get from Pinterest and Instagram. I have posted a blog about my favorite Instagram accounts before, and maybe I should do that again because I want to share so many favorites. For now I’ve chosen one, @emiliesobels. Emilie is the founder of Hashtag Workmode and she’s a girlboss and inspirational person overall. Not only her photos are pretty, she also shares tons of Instagram Stories that inspire me on a work level (these are all in Dutch btw). Let me know if I should share more of my favorite Instagrammers…
This is just a selection of all of the things I am loving at the moment. There is one more thing I am loving and that is knowing I will be walking the streets of New York again in a little bit… If you want to follow all of the adventures I will be up to when I am in New York, you should definitely check my Instagram. Here I will share stories and photos of my trip first before sharing it on here. So get ready for a New York spam… 🗽 What have been your Loves Lately? What type of posts would you like to see from my trip to New York?
Love,
Neeltje
Your photography is so beautiful, as always! I’m curious, how do you edit them? Also I’d love to see your pick of Instagrammable spots in NYC! ❤️✨

The photos are amazing! I, too, love oiling my hair. For your dry hair, you could try home made mask of honey and curd. It works wonders.

Ah, thanks for that suggestion! I will have to try that. Thank you! X
I love this product and the cake she created in collaboration with Parisian tea room Angélina was delicious!
