Sometimes I just feel like creating an interior blog post and I guess this is that time. I got some pretty exciting interior items over the last couple of months and of course I had to share them with all of you. In this blog post I showed you how I made some really big changes to my bedroom. But since I am not able to change my room around all the time, I buy small decorative items to change the vibe of my bedroom a little bit. These items that I am obsessed with are perfect for Summer and I thought you might like to have some inspiration so here you go!
Marble Plate: Kwantum € 7,00 | Sea Shells: Action € 1,00
One thing that has been on my wish list for such a long time to put in my bedroom is a marble plate. This might sound weird because what would I be going with a plate like this? Well, I really like the look of very light marble. With that, I love interior decoration items (duh) and on a marble plate like this I can put whatever I like. And, also very important, I can take lots of photos with it. Maybe I will use it in one of my up coming food posts? You never know!
Like I said, I can put lots of different things on the marble plate. Those things will change each season because I like to change the decoration in my bedroom (as you might have noticed). Sea shells are perfect to decorate with during Summer. You don’t even have to buy them in the store, you can just go to the beach and search for some sea shells you like. I just bought them because I love how it looks in the little bottles. You can put the sea shells in a bottle (or glass) like this or just scatter them around your bedroom.
In a previous interior blog post I already touched on this point (well, actually item) but I have a couple of new ones that I want to share with you. Of course I am talking about coffee table books. Every once in awhile I like to change them up or get some new ones and these are on top of my book shelves at the moment. First of all, “Celebrate” from Lauren Conrad. Lauren is one of my favorite celebrities and I own all of her books. This one is all about organizing parties, which I should do more often. The second one is “How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are”. This had been on my wish list for a long time and I got it for Christmas. I have to be honest, I didn’t have time to read it yet but it is the perfect coffee table book because of its minimalistic cover (right?).
For Eline’s birthday I got her a giftbox from Pluk Amsterdam. I knew Pluk Amsterdam from their restaurant in Amsterdam but after their first birthday, they launched a webshop. While I was looking around the webshop for a present for Eline, I saw so many things I liked. But I didn’t end up getting anything for myself just yet. After I still thought about it, I got two whiskey glasses. This may sound weird but you can use them to drink out of but also as a vase for example. So it’s actually a very unique interior item!
Whiskey Glasses: Pluk Amsterdam € 6,50
This last item is actually a little DIY project Eline and I did some time ago. On Pinterest I have been seeing and saving lots of different wall banner designs and I wanted to try to make one myself. The only things you need are: fabric, a marker, a needle, some thread, a stick and some rope. First cut out a shape of the fabric. I went for a triangle shape at the bottom. Then I decided on the design and practiced it on a piece of paper before free handing it on to the fabric. After that put the stick on the top of the fabric so you can sew the stick into the fabric. Now you only have to put some rope around the stick so you’re able to hang the wall banner on your wall (duh haha). Voilá! Your own wall banner is done!
Ah, I loved sharing some of my favorite interior items at the moment. It’s kind of unfortunate that this is already the end of this blog post but I have a little of a surprise… From next week on I will be posting two times a week during August! On Wednesday you will mostly find a travel diary on here and on Sunday another random blog post. I will be doing a lot of traveling and I think I am somewhere on holiday at the moment you’re reading this as well. If you already want to see a little of what I am doing and where I am, follow me on Instagram. Anyway, did you enjoy this blog post? Are you also excited for lots of updates on here in August?
