Before every trip, I make myself a packing list because I want to make sure I don’t forget anything. As you might know, I am going on two trips this summer. First Paris with Lotte and after that, Berlin with my family. The fun thing is, when you’re reading this om August 1 I am actually already exploring Paris! ✈ Of course I will share a travel diary of this trip but for now you can see all of our adventures on Instagram. In this post you’ll see a list of the items I packed for this trip. Hopefully it will be helpful when you’re packing for your next trip!
⌇ ESSENTIALS ⌇
There are a couple of items I just can’t go without whenever I go on holiday. I always have a small carry-on bag with me that’s filled with the most important items I am going to need. For example, my travel itinerary like the boarding pass, hotel reservation and insurance documents. Besides that, I always keep my passport, phone, iPad and camera with me. The greatest tip I have is to download a series or couple of movies on Netflix so you can watch them offline and while you’re traveling. Great to kill some time when you have to wait to board or while on the train to your destination. Btw, you shouldn’t forget the chargers to the tech items you’re taking with you.
Passport // Wallet // iPad // Phone // EarPods // Camera // SD Cards // Phone & Camera Charger // Crossbody bag // A journal // Travel itinerary (hotel & insurance documents)
⌇ CLOTHES ⌇
When packing clothes you have to start with looking at the weather forecast of the place you’re visiting. The weather in Paris is a little bit similar to the weather in The Netherlands, which made it easier to pack. ☼ Whenever I go on holiday I first start with the outfit I am going to wear while traveling to the city, Paris in my case. Since the weather was going to be nice, I also had to keep in mind that it could be colder at night so that’s why I always bring some type of jacket or sweater. Besides that, I just thought of some outfits I would want to wear beforehand and packed these. This can save you a lot of room, otherwise you’re probably going to overpack.
Denim jacket // Sweater // Four shirts // Two blouses // Two pairs of jeans // Striped pantalon // Comfortable shoes // Pyjamas // Underwear // Socks
⌇ TOILETRIES ⌇
Of course clothes are important, but you can’t go on holiday without your toiletries. I always find it hard to pack my toiletries because it’s so standard to have them at home. Something that can help when you have to pack your toiletries, to put everything aside when you’ve used it in the morning or evening. This way you’ll know exactly what you use and have to take with you. Travel size products are your friend because big products take up a lot of room in your suitcase and when you are traveling by plane (and with a carry-on) you can’t bring full size products. Some products I take with me come out of JouwBox, which I received. This first edition of this box was filled with all natural products and I’ve been loving the We Love The Planet deodorant and Super Foodies Natural White toothpaste. Both products are perfect for traveling since they are so small but still very effective.

As you can tell from this post, I’ve definitely been ready for my trip to Paris. This is a packing list I can also use for my trip to Berlin, which will be some time in the next few weeks. I think it’s so important to have some kind of packing list when you’re going on holiday. It’s just handy to cross off what you’ve packed and to make sure you pack all the important things. Do you have any trips planned? Do you have a packing list as well?
