Yes, I’ve been having a lot of these “I don’t feel like anything (Bruno Mars is in the house)” days the past couple of months. That’s just because I’ve been very busy with my internship, school and other stuff, so a relaxed day where I don’t have to put on make-up or go somewhere, are the best. On Instagram I posted a photo with the caption “This is all you need to have a perfect lazy Saturday” and then I came up with the idea to share my lazy day essentials with you!
To start your lazy day off the right way, you have to know where you want to spend your lazy day. For me that place has to be my bed, just because it’s the comfiest. It has lost of cushions in it and I always make sure I grab my fuzzy blanket as well to stay warm. Oh, and another thing that you have to think off when you start your lazy day is your outfit! Are you going to wear your favorite soft pajamas or just a pair of leggings with a comfy shirt? And you also can’t forget about a pair of fuzzy socks.
Then I just grab my laptop or iPad and start watching one of my favorite series on Netflix (yes we finally got Netflix). I really recommend Gossip Girl (I’ve already seen it all twice) and The Carrie Diaries (just started watching it for the second time). And if I don’t feel like watching series, I watch some YouTube videos. The Shaytards and Sacconejolys have a lot of daily videos uploaded so you have something to watch all day long.
And if I really don’t feel like watching something, I just put on a playlist on my Spotify. My favorite playlists at the moment are the FILTR Coffeehouse & Morning Tea, which consists mostly of chill and lounge music. In combination with a good book or some magazines your lazy day will be lovely.
And a lazy day wouldn’t be complete without some food and something to drink. When I stayed at CitizenM Rotterdam like a month ago, we went to Markthal and got a box full of donuts. There was this stand with so many different kinds of donuts, just donut heaven. So to make my lazy day complete, I would like a box of these donuts again. And in combination with a hot cup of tea it would be perfect.
As you can see on my favorite cup it says: “Coffee with my best friend” but also “shop”. And online shopping is also one of the things I like to do on a lazy day. The past couple of weeks I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping (oops) just because I don’t have that much time to go shopping in real life. And maybe you’ll see a couple of these purchases in my next couple of blog posts…
Of course there are many more things I like to do when I don’t feel like doing anything (sounds weird doesn’t it?), but these explain my recent lazy day activities. And you may have guessed it already but I actually came up with the idea for writing this post on my lazy day. Sometimes I have this ‘writers block’ and I don’t know what to write about and if I do have an idea, I just don’t know how to start it. But for the next couple of weeks I’ve got some pretty great posts planned for you, so get excited for those. What is your absolute lazy day essential? And do you have any TV series recommendations?
