Finding something unique doesn’t happen everyday. That goes for a lot of things. One of those is shops. I think unique shops are very hard to find but when I find them, they are really good. So good, you have to share it with people because they need to know about it. Well, that’s what I am currently feeling. So, I have to share them on my blog and here we are. I have three shops I want to share. One online and two offline. Which ones? They are called: Kringloop Vintage Leiden, Mañana Mañana and Fortune Flea. Oh, and the photos I’ve used in this blog post are actually from one of the unique shops… ✷
✷ Kringloop Vintage Leiden | Haarlemmerstraat 182, Leiden
If there’s a place where you are able to find unique things after looking through the whole store, is of course a thrift store. Since they didn’t have any thrift stores nearby where I live, I never really went to one. So, when I saw one opened in the main street in Leiden, I really wanted to check it out. They post different finds on their stories every single day. For example I saw these vintage cameras and lots of tableware. I knew I didn’t need any more cameras, but I really like the idea of thrifting bigger furniture and paint them to make it mine. So, I definitely got some inspiration for my future home…
✷ Mañana Mañana | www.manana-manana.nl
Online you are able to find so many great things, you just have to browse a little. Just as you would do in the store. Through Instagram I found Mañana Mañana, a webshop with lifestyle products. Nina puts items on Mañana Mañana she finds, thinks that are unique and fit a inspiring & quirky lifestyle. Besides that, Nina also designs items herself, like cards and prints. Recently I bought a moon calendar, which Nina designed, and a hand dish, which is meant for insence but I will be storing some of my crystals in it. All in all, I have already found some gems at Mañana Mañana and can’t wait to see what she will add to the next Mañana Mañana collection…
✷ Fortune Flea | Zeeburgerpad 26, Amsterdam
What would a vintage boho chic heaven look like? Well, I think I found it and I could say it would look something like Fortune Flea. Eline sent me a photo from the Instagram account of Fortune Flea, told me she wanted to go and asked me to go as well. I scrolled through the account for a second and said yes almost immediately. Fortune Flea is one big treasure chest. Zoë is the owner of Fortune Flea and told us that she goes to different places in Belgium, France and also The Netherlands to find unique furniture pieces like the ones you see in the photos of this blog post. The marble tables, glass lamps, baroque mirrors, velvet armchairs and so much more. One of the marble tables was so beautiful. It was light pink with beige and white, soooo pretty. Unfortunately I don’t have place for it now but unique pieces like that will definitely get a place in my future home. I already have a vision inside my head of modern, minimalistic furniture with some vintage pieces, because those will add some character to any room.
I thought it would be fun to share some random shops I’ve recently discovered in a blog post without dedicating a full blog post to it. After visiting Kringloop Vintage Leiden and Fortune Flea, I definitely feel like I need to hunt for some beautiful vintage stores to visit. I loved all of the pieces and everything has a different story. Right now I don’t have the place for big furniture pieces but when I do, I will definitely be back there. Besides that, I want to visit the IJ-Hallen again to pick up some small accessories maybe… What’s your favorite shop that sells unique pieces? Have you ever thrifted something?
Love,
Neeltje
