I am very into taking photos and photography in general. Whenever I am in a city or walking around somewhere I always see things or places I want to take photos of. 📷 In The Netherlands I have already found a lot of Instagram worthy places, but I also was curious about these type of places abroad. So while I was in Paris and Berlin I found a couple of places that just beg for you to take a photo of or with and make the perfect Instagram photo!
《 Paris 》
Paris is mostly known as the city of love. But it’s way more than that. Yes, the architecture is very romantic but that makes it also a very photogenic city. I love the atmosphere in Paris and I think these next four places really show this through the photos.
The climb to Sacré-Cœur is hard but very stunning at the same time. The stairs around Sacré-Cœur are a great opportunity to take an Instagram photos. Then when you go all the way to top and reach Sacré-Cœur, there are different places where you can view the Sacré-Cœur from. The building itself is very beautiful and makes you want to take so many photos of it. Besides that, there’s a lot of street art and cute shops around Montmartre. It’s such a cute neighborhood you need to walk around and explore.
The Eiffel Tower is a big sight in Paris and everyone wants to take a cute photo of it. You probably know the standard places to take a photo of it, from Jardins du Trocadéro for example. But before I left for Paris, I saw a lot of girls take photos in a street with a view of the Eiffel Tower but no one tagged the street. Well, this street is called Rue l’Université and you should definitely go there… because I love how my photos turned out there!
Paris is filled with streets that are very cute but one of them reminded me a lot of Notting Hill in London. Rue Crémieux is the equivalent of it because it’s filled with lots of pastel colored houses. From baby blue to bright pink and mint green. You will definitely find a colored house that matches your Instagram feed. TIP! Go there around dinner time if you don’t want a lot of people walking around or through your photos.
A food place that’s super photogenic is Pink Mamma. I already shared this hotspot in my Paris travel diary because you just have to visit it when you’re in Paris. The decor at Pink Mamma is very cute and also different on every floor, which gives you a ton of options to take photos.
《 Berlin 》
Compared to Paris, Berlin is lot more edgy, which I think is really cool. Since it is an edgy city with a ton of history, there are so many places take photos of or with. When I was in Berlin, I discovered three places that I thought were really Instagram worthy and needed to share in this post.
East Side Gallery
You might have already seen this hotspot on my Instagram or in my Berlin travel diary, but it’s so Instagram worthy. East Side Gallery is a part of the Berlin Wall and it has a lot of different art works on it. I am a person that loves street art and all of the art on East Side Gallery is also very special. Every piece has a different meaning. And since there are so many, you can take a lot of great photos there to post on your Instagram.
Reichstag The Dome
The Dome is located on top of the Reichstag. It’s all made out of glass and inside The Dome you can walk all the way to the top, in circles. At the top you can lay down and enjoy the stunning view. If you’re at the bottom of The Dome you are able to spot yourself in the reflection through the mirror in the middle. Beisdes that, the terrace around The Dome gives you a stunning panoramic view of the city. TIP! Don’t forget to register, otherwise you won’t be able to go into The Dome.
House of Small Wonder
When I was searching for food places to go in Berlin, House of Small Wonder popped up everywhere. I saw so many photos of the staircase and it got me interested. It’s a really small but very cute food place to go. When you enter this hotspot, the first thing you see is the staircase, which you just have to take a photo of or with. Upstairs their decor consists of even more vintage items and lots of plants.
In both Paris and Berlin there are so many more Instagram worthy places, but these were definitely my favorites when I was there. In the next couple of weeks I have a lot more photos to post from my trips so make sure you follow me on Instagram to see even more. On my next trip I will be going to New York and I am thinking maybe I should also create a post like this about New York? Or another city in The Netherlands? Let me know! Have you been to Paris or Berlin? Which of these places would you want to take an Instagram photo at?
