I Look At My Closet And Think: It’s A White Blouse Kinda Day | How To Style: The White Blouse

There are just some pieces you have to have in your wardrobe. Every season has its own essentials but some items just make a comeback every single season. From a pair of jeans to a blazer, but definitely don’t forget about the white blouse. Available in so many different styles and looks good with every outfit. So, here’s how I style different white blouses!

I never thought this type of blouse was missing in my wardrobe until I got it. That’s when I realized it was missing. It might looks like a typical white blouse when it comes to the fit, but the silk makes the difference. Since the material of the blouse is kind of shiny, it looks expensive and very classy. This is a white blouse you can wear with a pair of jeans (like I am in the photos) but also wear it with a skirt to look more dressy. As you can tell, I like to tuck it fully into a pair of high waisted blue jeans to make it look effortless.

ː The Boho Blouse ː

At the moment I am so into the boho vibes, when it comes to interior but also when it comes to clothing items. A blouse can be simple and a blouse can be a little over the top. This wide sleeved blouse with a subtle dotted print gives me the biggest boho vibes ever. The wide sleeves aren’t the easiest thing to work with (they get caught on stuff and can hang inside your food) but we do everything to look nice, right? I really like this blouse in combination with other neutral colors, like beige or taupe, and to just tuck in the front so you can see the body shape better. To make the look complete, I wear this with a pair of sandals (which you can spot in this blog post).

I love me some loose fitted clothing items. Don’t get me wrong, it depends on the mood I am in, but most days I just opt for loose fitted sweaters, shirts or blouses. I remember watching a video of Katy Bellotte and one of her friends was wearing this blouse and I just had to have it. It was exactly what I was looking for (even if I didn’t know it). This is just the right amount of loose and I am also able to wear it open with a shirt or top underneath. So the styling options with this one are almost endless. I would suggest wearing a loose fitted blouse with a pair of skinny jeans to balance the look out a bit.

So, for styling a white blouse, there are so many options since there are so many different types of blouses. For this blog post I chose three blouses I have in my wardrobe that I wear the most and like to style different ways. I like my outfits to be very simple, so that’s what you might have noticed in this post. Spring and summer time are the perfect seasons to play around with white blouses. Something I like to do is wear a loose white blouse with a pair of shorts. This gives a very laid back look and is still appropriate for warm weather. I can’t wait for those days!
