Because of self-isolation happening, I had to get creative when it came to taking photos for my blog. At first I had a pretty big selection of photos to choose from because I would shoot photos at random places all the time. The places I go often are my living room, the garden and my bedroom of course. When the regulations were lifted a little bit, I finally cycled to Leiden again and took these photos of my outfit. It’s a very casual one but that’s what I have been wearing lately (besides lounge wear haha) and it’s featuring my favorite blazer at the moment!
Neutral Colored Blazer: Bershka
Let’s get right to business: the blazer. That’s what this outfit post is all about. I’ve always been very into blazers but they are a tough clothing item to buy. I like my blazers to fit a certain way, so when I find the perfect one, I will wear it a ton. Of course I have a staple black blazer. This one is a little bit fitted and is perfect to wear to the office. When I got that blazer, I also wanted one like that but thinner so I could wear that during spring and summer. The blazer I am talking about is one I wore in a previous outfit post. Both of those blazers were such a good buy. At the beginning of this year I started thinking about what coats I had to wear during the transition from winter to spring and summer. I saw someone wearing a blazer as a coat and I loved that look so much, I started looking for a blazer I could wear as a coat. During sale season I scored this one. It’s a little oversized, I love the color and I love that it looks like I am not wearing a coat, but the blazer is the coat. On the day these photos were taken, it was a little too warm to wear it (especially when I was cycling), so now I know which temperature is the best to wear this as a coat.
Black Logo Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger | Grey Jeans: Levi’s
With the blazer of course I am wearing also some other clothing items, for example a black shirt. This one is very simple and features the Tommy Jeans logo on it. I love casual shirts like this, especially when they are black because it goes with every single color.
And as you might have already guessed… I am wearing a pair of my beloved Levi’s jeans. Whenever the weather turns around from cold and rainy to sunny and warm, you better believe I am getting my light colored jeans out of my closet again. Recently I’ve cleaned out my closet and put all my lighter jeans on top of my jeans pile. One of those light colored jeans is this grey pair. I go back and forth with this light grey pair. Right now I love it, especially in combination with other neutral colors, like the color of my blazer!
At first I was opting to wear my favorite white sneakers with this look, but in the end I thought my animal print sneakers would look better. The colors of the animal print completely tie in with the rest of the outfit (#alwaysmatchig).
Patterned Sneakers: Maruti | Light Grey Crossbody Bag: DKNY
I can never leave the house without a bag full of crap I won’t need at all, but yeah. Since this outfit is mainly neutral colors, of course my bag had to match this. So, I grabbed my light grey crossbody bag from DKNY. This one isn’t small but also not that big so it’s perfect for a day to the city or shooting blog photos.
That’s it for this outfit! I warned you it would be simple and casual. For accessories I wore the ones I am always wearing so you know the drill by now. Anyways, to go back to the item that made this outfit: I believe you can dress every outfit up a little by just wearing a blazer. From black to neutral colored. The options are endless! Do you wear blazers often? What’s your favorite blazer and why?
