More Favorites Than Vogue | Loves Lately

I found the title of this post pretty funny because it says “More favorites than Vogue” instead of “More issues than Vogue”. Anyways, that was my ‘funny’ moment, on to the important stuff. I easily have a new favorite series, clothing item or book every single week. But if I’ve really been loving something for a longer period of time, I share those favorites on here. So enjoy another Loves Lately post (and click here if you want to read the first one!).

Last week I finally decided to change the layout of Thoughts in Style! I don’t know if you’ve already seen it but I changed the header photo to just the logo, there’s now a photo in the sidebar and I updated the ‘About Me‘ and ‘About The Blog‘ pages! I think the layout looks so much cleaner and fits my style so much better. I am even more proud of my blog after I’ve made these changes. Do you like it as much as me?

If you follow me on Instagram, you could already know that I love to buy new clothing items for the summer. Lately I’ve bought so much, it’s ridiculous. But I wanted to show you one of my favorites, which I am going to wear so much in the warmer weather. It’s this lightweight top from Vero Moda. It’s so cute and perfect for summer, don’t you think? And in Barcelona I got this photography shirt from Typographia and at first I didn’t know if it would look good on me because of the high neckline. But I’ve been wearing it so much and I actually like how it looks, so yeah!

Lightweight Summer Top: Vero Moda € 24,95

When we (finally) got Netflix, I mainly used it to watch movies. But after a while I went looking in the ‘recommended for you’ tab and I saw this series called ‘Life Unexpected’. I read the description and decided to start watching it… And let me tell you, it’s such a good series! I think it’s so unfortunate they only made two seasons. So when I was done watching it, I had to look for another series to start. That’s when I found ‘New Girl’. I recognize myself in so many situations, which makes this series hilarious to watch haha.

As much as I like my series, I also really like watching vlogs from people on YouTube. First off I’ve been loving the weekly vlogs from the Michalaks, also known as Hannah Maggs and her family. They have the best edited videos with some ‘silky montages’ in them (as Stef calls them haha), which I love. And for my Dutchies out there, Anna Nooshin started a YouTube channel and her videos are really nice, especially her vlogs from trips!

A Work In Progress By Connor Franta: Amazon € 13,99

In my Latest Purchases post I talked about one of my favorite coffee table books. This time I wanted to incorporate another book but this is a memoir written by Connor Franta. Connor is actually also YouTuber but last year he got the opportunity to write a book about his life from birth until right now. The book also includes some of Connor’s photography, which is beautiful.

The best education you will ever get is traveling. Nothing teaches you more than exploring the world and accumulating experiences.

Another thing I wanted share with you is this wanderlust kind of quote. In a couple of weeks (I am counting down the days) I will be in New York and Washington! I already searched on blogs for some hotspots I have to visit when I am there but do you have any recommendations (like cafes or shops)? My mom and I are making a planning just so we know where we want to go everyday and maybe I’ll add your recommendation the list!

Yes, this girl just finished her second year of her Communication studies! I am so happy I don’t have to study anymore. The only thing I have to do is finish some papers and then I will officially be on my summer break! Anyways, after we finished our last test, my friends and I decided to go to Scheveningen and enjoy the sun. It was such a nice day and I just wanted to share this photo I took of the ‘Kurhaus’ because I really like it.

Last but not least, of course I have to include some of my favorite bloggers at the moment. For the most lovely outfits and travel posts check Billie Rose and for my Dutchies out there, check Blame The Fireworks for a lot of photos of cacti *insert cacti emoji here* and posts about hotspots all around The Netherlands. Well, I think that’s all for this Loves Lately post! I definitely want to do more of these posts because I really like sharing my ‘loves’ of the moment. What do you think of the new and improved layout? Which of my ‘loves’ do you like the best?
