French Vibes In The City Centre Of The Hague With This Hotspot | Palmette, The Hague

I first got introduced to Palmette by Claudia when we were in The Hague at the beginning of the year. Here’s where we had a quick break in between taking photos. When planning a day to The Hague with Lotte, Palmette popped into my mind for lunch. I was curious what this hotspot had to offer and in this blog post you’ll read all about it!

Palmette | Plaats 27, The Hague

Palmette is French international restaurant located in the city centre of The Hague. The name ‘Palmette’ sounds so exotic and you can see that exotic part in the interior of this cute cafe. Palm trees, flamingos and marble. It’s such an Instagramable cafe. On this day, Lotte and I sat outside. But since the inside is so adorable, I would definitely have dinner with such a aesthetically pleasing interior.

Besides that, the most important thing is of course the food. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at Palmette. Their menu is filled with classic, tasty dishes. From sandwiches with crayfish to a quiche with spinach and my all time favorite The Hague shrimp croquettes on toast.

Lotte and I arrived at Palmette and actually decided to sit outside, on the terrace, and enjoy the nice weather. When a hotspot has marble tables, it immediately scores many points. Completely besides the point, so let’s move on. When we sat down, our drink order was taken (aka I got a water and Lotte got an iced tea green), and received the menu. They did have some vegetarian options that caught my eye. The quiche with spinach and falafel bowl for example. These were kind of big dishes for lunch I thought, so eventually I went for the shrimp croquettes with sourdough bread and Lotte for the Organic roast beef sandwich. We both enjoyed our lunch very much! It was the perfect break to energize again for our fun day in The Hague shopping and just walking around.

I am definitely curious about all their other dishes after looking at the menu, especially for dinner. So, will I go back to Palmette? For sure! The staff is really nice, the food is tasty and the interior is cute. What else do you need? I think it’s a great hotspot to have a break in between shopping of discovering The Hague. Also, on the terrace you have a pretty view of the Plaats, a busy spot in the city, which means: a great people spotting place. Something I love to do with my friends hehe.
