Phone Apps I Can’t Live Without | Essentials: Apps

It’s so strange to think that a couple of years ago I didn’t care at all if I forgot my phone when I left the house. Right now, my phone is always by my side. I use it for a lot of things, besides texting and calling. I take most of my Instagram photos (and edit them), answer emails and keep in touch with my family and friends of course. Throughout the years I’ve had an iPhone, I’ve discovered specific phone apps I can’t go without and here’s a list of them!

⌇ Social media apps⌇

Instagram: Do I even need to explain this? Whenever I check my screen time, Instagram is always on top. It’s kind of an addiction but I do get a lot of inspiration from Instagram, so that’s how I justify it.

Pinterest: Another platform that I use on a daily bases. It all started with Tumblr, then I moved on to Weheartit and now it’s all about Pinterest.

Twitter: I check Twitter at least twice a day. It’s not the platform to follow the news but I do follow different news outlets. Besides that, I follow some very funny people and find the best memes on there as well.

WordPress: I don’t know if WordPress would be considered a social media app, but that’s what I check to keep up with my blog. Reading comments, checking analytics, and more.

⌇ Shopping apps ⌇

Zalando: It’s dangerous to have shopping apps on your phone because it’s so easy to order something… That’s why I only have two on my phone and one of them is Zalando. They have almost everything one could need.

H&M: Love or hate? Right now I love H&M. I go through these phases. So, every now and then I scroll through the app to see what’s new and maybe add some items to my wish list.

⌇ Editing apps ⌇

VSCO Cam: VSCO Cam might sound familiar because I mentioned this app in a post about how I edit my photos. It’s a must!

Snapseed: Recently I notice I am using Snapseed more and more. This photo editing app is so easy to use and I also use it to edit photos for my other Instagram account @neeltje.jpeg.

UNUM: Planning out my feed is key. There are so many apps now to help with that, but I’ve been using UNUM since the beginning and aren’t planning (no pun intended) on switching to another app any time soon.

Tezza: When I feel like adding more color in my photos, I use the Tezza app. They have some very cute filters. Definitely worth a try!

⌇ Random apps ⌇

Timehop: With Timehop I am able to see what stuff I posted on my connected social media accounts throughout the years. I used to tweet so much… So embarrassing haha.

To Do: A planner like me wants to write things down all the time and start planning it. At first I used Wunderlist and now I use To Do to make lists with what I need/want to do that specific day.

Fitbit: I got a Fitbit watch for my birthday two year ago and I wear it daily. I like to see that statistics and track my workouts with the app. It’s all very interesting and seeing it track all the different things. With the last update I can also track my water intake. Since I struggle with that because I simply forget to drink water, it’s great for me to add that into the app as well.

Weather app: Since I cycle a lot, the weather app is kind of my best friend. It tells me whenever it’s going to rain, so that’s where I plan my leaving time around.

With the new iOS update, so many people are reorganizing their apps and even using short cuts to add different images to the apps. I really don’t have the patience to do this but I do have to say, I love how Alyssa did hers. Maybe, just maybe, when I feel like it, I will try and do mine as well… But for now, I am fine with the layout. I would love to know: What are your favorite apps? If you could only use three apps, which one would you choose?

Love,

Neeltje

Ah, I haven’t edited on my computer in so long. Maybe I should try that again! X

I don’t use as many apps on my phone, but the ones I do use, I use all the time haha. Snapseed is my go-to editing app, and so is Picsart – lots of fun with all the stickers! I need to use my weather app more often so that I finally dress appropriately for the weather haha!
    Have a great week! x

Oooh very cool!! I’m intrigued with Tezza and Unum. I’ve never been one to plan my feed on Instagram but this COULD possibly help me post more frequently?? It’s something I’d like to look into.
Snapseed is a must in my phone!
Thanks for sharing your go-to apps doll! It was enjoyable to read!
